How did we turn an old-fashioned house into a modern-designed house in 3 stages?
We received an old private house in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood in Raanana, and we took on a challenge - to turn it into the family's dream home. Because who among us would not want to live in a pampering and tastefully decorated home, one that meets the needs and desires of the whole family?
The customers who approached us, a light-hearted and energetic parent couple with two little boys, dreamed of just that. We had no doubt that we were going to turn the old-fashioned house in which they lived into a house with a modern, elegant and timeless design that would be fun to wake up in every morning anew and open the day in the most relaxed and magical way possible.
So what makes an apartment a modern and timeless apartment that you never get tired of? It's our time to reveal to you the three design secrets and principles we worked on in the project.
before
Proper planning and division of the space
The house has two separate floors, so when we started the process we redesigned the floors completely, according to the needs of the whole family, and without giving up of course the interior design which is an integral part of our planning. The big challenge was on the entrance floor, where we examined how best to divide the kitchen area that was spread over a very large area and disproportionate to the rest of the floor.

Creative storage solutions
As you may have noticed, personal carpentry is a very significant part of the home space. We took care to utilize every corner for optimal and practical storage, and designed the various carpentry items in an asymmetrical way that brings interest to the apartment and creates a unique and different space from what the eye is used to seeing.
Surprisingly, when the asymmetry is repeated in the design, it creates a balance in the space and makes it a pleasant place to stay. Of course we also designed unique carpentry items on the second floor, where for example a closet was designed where we hid large appliances like a washing machine and dryer.

To create a pleasant and airy division in the space, we designed a unique carpentry item with a personal design that serves as a divider. The furniture is designed in a particularly spacious way, with a combination of black iron at the top and wood at the bottom, which allows the household members to store various objects and combine special decorative accessories.

Colors that add a twist to the design
The apartment at its base is in classic and temporary shades like gray, black and wood, but we could not give up breaking with shades that add interest and twist to the design. We realized that our customers are bold customers who absolutely love colors, and we brought perfect color into the space. In the kitchen we incorporated special bar stools in an antique pink hue, and some of the various carpentry items scattered throughout the house were painted in a deep and unique blue color that simply cannot be missed.
Designed kitchen in the heart of the house
The kitchen we designed is no longer just used for making delicious meals. If once we were used to cooking in the kitchen and moving on with our lives, today the completely modern kitchen has become the heart of the home - a place where family members drink their morning coffee, entertain and even do homework with the kids.
